Life?

Why are car accidents called car accidents when most they time it the driver fault. Most drivers are to preoccupied to watch where they are going. With the innovation of technology our future generations brains willfurther diminished untill nothing is left and the start of the zombie apocalypse. If you up from your phone that your eyes are glued on you would see a whole new world that you can explore. I just want people to make the most of their lives instead of wasting it.  Till next time. 1. I get your point, when I drive to school I am very cautious but there are lots of drivers who do not watch where they are going because they are talking on the phone or whatever they do on it. I almost got into accidents because the driver was not paying attention and merged, braked, or did something stupid in the middle of the road without giving a signal. But I think if I am careful I will be fine.

    1. just cause your careful doesn't mean your safe. it's like you have to be extra careful for you and the person.

    1. if i was a cop i would be pulling only cops over. i think most offenses come from cops. i see them speed, turn there light on for no reason, and cut people off. cops are just not safe.

  3. They're call car accidents because it's an accident. Car accidents happened way before technology and cell phones and texting. I'm not saying its not a big part of it, its a huge part. Were all very careless. A lot of it stems from people, like the elderly who should not be drving at all. A lot of people do not pay attention either. Their music maybe too loud or they're going through other issues and their minds are else where. If your a cautious driver than you can make sure to look out for those careless drivers.

    1. If a person is preoccupied it is their fault and they should know that they are driving and by thinking of something else yourself and other car riders in danger. if you feel way too emotional about something at that time pull over and wait for you to cool down before continuing on the road. you can not just say elder can not drive when most accidents come from people age 25 and under. by your logic we shouldn't let people under 25 since most accidents seem to come from this age group not the elder. The risk of motor vehicle crashes is higher among 16- to 19-year-olds than among any other age group. In fact, per Miles has driven, teen drivers ages 16 to 19 are nearly three times more likely than drivers aged 20 and older to be in a fatal crash. and by saying " If you're a cautious driver than you can make sure to look out for those careless drivers." you're implying that it is the careless person's fault and they need to be careful how they are driving. meaning that accidents are not accidents but a careless person caresses.

  4. I completely agree. I pass people all of the time and see there head down texting. I used to think that if someone was swerving it was because they were drunk. Now when I see someone swerving I know that they are texting. It is scarry on the road I travel, it is only a single lanes either way and 50 mph), and when someone crosses over the line there is no where to go. So figure it out 1 ton vehicles going 50 mph heading straight for each other. You do the math

  5. I agree 100%. I commute 45 minutes to work everyday and the things that I see drivers doing are ridiculous. From texting, to doing makeup, eating, even reaching into the back seat. Unbeknownst to them as to what's ahead. The route in which I travel is very dangerous, there a large trucks transporting sugar cane and other agriculture, not to mention the wildlife. I've encountered the wildlife at one point or another, even caused extensive front end damage to my car from hitting a raccoon. Long story short, people need to be aware of their driving habits and their surroundings.
